Be prepared to express your desires. The treatment should reflect YOU and not the decorator.

Let your consultant know your budget early in the discussion.

If the home is under construction, have samples of those items that must be matched-carpet, wallpaper, existing upholstery, etc.

Custom window coverings take time to fabricate. Get in touch with your decorator at least 8 weeks prior to installation. Quality fabrics produce quality window treatments. Don't compromise by purchasing "seconds". Your decorator's fabrics carry a guarantee from their supplier for consistency in dye lot and finish
